Booking a Show

From the calendar page select the day you’d like to schedule your event, then click “Add Event” to get started with the booking process.

From the event page you will be asked to fill in some basic information about your event, including: Event Name, Start Date, End Date, Status, and an Event Description.

Once you are satisfied with the details you have provided you can select Add Time Slot to build out your event.

Note: If no time slots are added to this event, the event will display as a draft on your dashboard under Upcoming Shows, but will not appear on your public profile without specified time slots. You will be required to add a time slot in order for artists to request to play, or to book specific artists for the event you are attempting to book.

Once you have selected Add Time Slot, a pop-up will appear and you will be asked to specify the Start Time and End Time for the Time Slot you wish to book.

Note: If you would like to leave a Time Slot open for artists to request to fill, you can toggle on Allow Booking Requests.

After creating your Time Slot you have the option to leave it open for artists to request to fill, or select Book Artist for Time Slot to fill the Time Slot.

If you’d like to fill the Time Slot you have 3 different methods for doing so:

  1. Search for the Artist you would like to book for the Time Slot

  2. Book an artist from your Playlist

  3. Discover new artists with our Rapid Booking Feature. 

For this demonstration we will be walking you through our Rapid Booking feature.

Once Rapid Booking has been selected you will be cycled through a curated list of artists that fit the specific criteria outlined on the event page. From here you will have the ability to browse through artists’ profiles in a streamlined fashion in order to book the perfect artist for your event. You will be able to view their rate, genres, bio, location, and top track.

After selecting the perfect artist for your Time Slot with the checkmark button, you can continue to Payment Options.

From here you will have the option to either pay an artist their Flat Rate (the rate listed on their profile, or any specific dollar amount you wish to list), or a Guaranteed Minimum, which allows for further payment options.

If you select Guaranteed Minimum, in addition to a base rate you will have further options to pay artists a percentage of Door Sales, and/or a percentage of Bar Sales.

Once you have confirmed your payment method, your Time Slot will appear as Pending on your event page, and artists will be notified of your booking request. Once they have accepted your request you can confirm the booking and be on your way to an incredible show!

The booking flow for any time slot follows these stages:

  • Open – The time slot is available for artists to request if you haven’t sent a booking request to a specific artist.

  • Pending – You have requested an artist, but they have not yet accepted your request.

  • Requested – Artists have requested to fill an open time slot or have requested to book an event.

  • Accepted – An artist has accepted your booking request, and you will need to fully Confirm Booking.

  • Booked – You have confirmed the artist after they accepted the request.

Note: A time slot remains Open and/or Pending until you confirm a booking request, at which point its status changes from Open to Booked. If you have sent a request to a specific artist but have left the slot Open, other artists can still request to fill it until an artist is confirmed and the slot is officially Booked.
